Melvin Brewing Company: More Than Just Great Beer

Published December 15, 2019 · Trust Shack

Rows of beer taps at a craft brewery

With four locations in three different states, Melvin Brewing Company is an up and coming brewpub. Not only do they serve their own craft beer, but they are big into philanthropy and crafting their own gastronomic creations. Melvin Brewing has grown from their humble beginnings in Alpine, Wyoming to brewpubs in California and Wisconsin.

Melvin Brewing Company has developed its own beer "from the future" and has won various awards since their inception in 2015. Here's why Melvin Brewing is more than just great beer.

Brews and Foods

Their 20-gallon brew system quickly grew into a 3 barrel system, there, they created the award-winning beers including the original Melvin IPA, 2x4 Double IPA, and the Ch-Ch-Ch-Cherry Bomb with sides of Asian street food, kung fu movies, and old school hip hop. Because that is what a brewpub should be serving.

Today you can find their menu has expanded to include curry and other Asian-inspired foods but also that truly compliment all of the beers they make and sell. Their food menu isn't very large but it is a gastronomic explosion of flavors. Price-wise, it's also very affordable.

Melvin Brewing Company can be found on Untapped. Their tap-list (beer list) is quite extensive and it boasts 492 beers, could be more, could be less, across all four locations.

Award-Winning

As mentioned previously Melvin Brewing started from a humble beginning in Alpine, Wyoming. They went from a 3-gallon beer to 30 barrels in less than 5 years winning a few awards with them. These awards include Small Brewpub of the Year at GABF 2015 and the Brewing Group of the Year at GABF 2017 amongst others such as Best In Show and Gold Award (2018). If your beer isn't a winner, should you really be drinking it?
